2009-2010 Recruitment Begins

Time to start praying about serving for next year 2009-2010.  We on the SHINE Ministry Team want to encourage adults and High Schoolers to join us in raising up this generation to become devoted Christ followers.  We are also interested in knowing how we can serve the needs of our volunteers.  If you have suggestions, please let us know.  Our team will be retreating at the end of May to plan for the next year, be part of that plan.  karen@wabashpres.com

October Food Theme: Meals in a Can

Plateau Outreach Ministries is requesting canned food to stock their pantry.  Specifically they would like foods that would be considered a meal, such as chili, beef and macaroni, stew, etc.  Donations can be brought to the main building or Garrett Hall and placed in the blue boxes located by the Children's Check-in Kiosks.

Fun happenings on Sunday Morning in

"The Zone"

 

Get Ready for "God's Story: Genesis - Revelations" for our 2008-2009 year.  Meet each Sunday at 10:45-12:00.





This month we learn about God's Rules, The Ten Commandments, and how to live making choices for Jesus.  Our second and third graders have a great time each week in the  

"Construction Zone".

BreakZone Wednesday Evenings 6:30-8:00 Sept. - May 7

Kids age 4 (as of Sept. 1 of the current school year) through 5th grade meet each Wednesday evening for a time of discipleship and community.  With an emphasis on Missions we also promote 4 different areas based on Acts 1:8, reaching out into our City, State, Country and World.  Here you see a toy drive where proceeds were sent to an orphange in Morocco.  We have also work with local food banks, Katrina Relief Victims fund, and Children of the Dump in Honduras.

Vacation Bible School

July 13-17 it's "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" 9:00-noon (doors open at 8:45)
